Karen M. Rider ~ Bio 
Karen M. Rider has published articles, essays and interviews on topics ranging from energy medicine to writer's block. She has interviewed visionary teachers and medical pioneers including Andrew Weil, Wayne Dyer, Joan Borysenko, Christiane Northrup and Judith Orloff. She enjoys sharing what she learns along the writer's journey and, to this end, has published articles on craft in both The Writer and Writer's Digest magazines.
An emerging fiction author, Karen M. Rider has several short stories in review and two novels in development. Her stories weave metaphysical elements and folklore with contemporary dilemmas for characters to overcome—which she brands as metaphysical fiction. Karen's first published visionary story,"The Parade," appeared in Dream Network Journal in 2009. A second short story,"The Circle Garden," is pending publication. Karen is currently developing The Gathering, a novel of metaphysical suspense set at Gillette Castle in Connecticut. Another book project is The "Energy Healer Series," which includes The Entelechist, The Auracle and The Mystic.
Karen also has diverse experience as writing coach and ghostwriter, providing guidance and insight for professionals writing nonfiction articles and advertorials, books and website content. Karen regularly holds speaking engagements for libraries, writing groups and workshops.
Karen shares life’s adventures with her husband and two spirited daughters. They enjoy kayaking, hiking and biking along the Connecticut River. Karen also enjoys yoga, reading, movies, theater and a leisurely days at the beach.
